Like Physics ??

if yes, this game is for you to play.

Some FAQ from the site :

How do I buy the game?

You can buy the game by going to the buy page and clicking on the ‘Buy Now’ button for your preferred currency. The payment is handled by PayPal’s secure web site, where you can choose to pay by credit card or through a PayPal account. Creating a PayPal account is quick and easy, and this will enable you to pay via a bank account if you don’t have a credit card.

Once the payment is accepted, you will be shown a ‘payment completed’ page on the PayPal site, which will then automatically redirect you back to a page on the armadillorun.com web site (just leave the browser window open and it should automatically change, but there’s a link you can click if it doesn’t). From this page, you’ll be able to download and register Armadillo Run.

You will also be sent a confirmation email, which also contains your link to download and register Armadillo Run. If you do not receive your confirmation email soon after your purchase, check your spam filter as it may have filtered it out.

Does the game come on a CD?

No, the game’s only available as a download. It’s less than 2MB in size, so it should only take a couple of minutes over a dial-up connection.

Is Armadillo Run available for Mac OS X/Linux?

Not at the moment, but I plan on making both Mac OS X and Linux versions.

Why do I need to register / how does the registration work?

The registration process is necessary to protect against piracy (it’s unfortunate, but piracy happens). I have tried to make the registration code system allow legitimate use of the game, including simultaneous installation on multiple machines and installation on machines without Internet access. The game never attempts to communicate via the Internet.

When you install the game, it will ask you to register it the first time it runs. It will give an install code which you need to copy and paste into a box on the download/registration web page. This will generate a registration code which you need to copy and paste back into the Armadillo Run window to register the game.

Each new install will generate a different install code, and requires a new registration code. You may generate up to 10 registration codes automatically - if you require more after that, you will need to contact me.

Each registration code is specific to a computer’s network interface (the hardware MAC address of the primary network interface). If the network interface is no longer available (if it’s physically disconnected or set ‘disabled’ in Windows), then the game may require re-registration. If you switch back to using a network connection which has already been registered, the game won’t require re-registration.

You can get a new registration code by going to the registration page and entering your current registration code, or just clicking on the link in your registration email.

If you re-install the game on the same computer (for example, if you re-install your operating system, you won’t need a new registration code - your previous registration code will still be valid.

Can I install the game on more than one computer?

Yes, but you’ll need a new registration code for the new computer you install it on. You can download the game and get a new registration code by going to the registration page and entering your current registration code, or just clicking on the link in your registration email.

Installing the game on another computer does not require you to remove it from the computer it was originally installed on - you may use the game on both machines simultaneously.

How do I get new versions of the game?

Minor revisions will be made to the game over time to incorporate requested enhancements. You’ll be able to download updated versions of the game by going to the registration page and entering your current registration code, or just clicking on the link in your registration email.

You don’t need to uninstall your previous version before installing a new version (but you can if you want - it makes no difference). All your settings will be preserved (your progress and levels will not be reset) and you won’t need to re-register the game.

Do I have to uninstall the demo before I install the full version?

No, they’re completely independent, so you can uninstall the demo before or after you install the full version.

The game runs slowly / the animation is not smooth

Minimum specifications and display drivers

Armadillo Run requires a PC with an OpenGL-compatible graphics card or a motherboard with OpenGL acceleration. Most modern desktop PCs will have one or other of these, but some older laptops may not.

The graphics card or motherboard chipset requires a software driver to be installed to fully utilise the hardware. This will typically come on a CD packaged with your computer or graphics card, or it can be downloaded from the manufacturer’s web site. Popular graphics card manufacturers are NVidia, ATI and Matrox.

To identify your graphics card:

  1. Right-click on an empty part of the desktop and select Properties.
  2. Click on the Settings tab.
  3. Click on Advanced.
  4. Click on the Adapter tab.
  5. The Adapter Information panel shows information about your graphics card.
  6. Click on Properties.
  7. Click on the Driver tab to see information about the currently installed driver. You should be able to see from here which driver you have installed (it should show the version and date).

If you need to install a new driver, follow the manufacturer’s installation instructions.

Display configuration

Armadillo Run uses your desktop display configuration (screen size and colour depth). If you are using a high resolution and have speed problems, try switching to a lower resolution or run it in windowed mode in a smaller window.

In-game performance adjustments

If you still experience speed problems, you can adjust some in-game settings to trade visual quality for speed. Just click on Options from the main menu and set Graphics quality to Medium or Low. Turning off the level background may also achieve a small speed increase. You can also turn off the title screen animation if it’s causing a slowdown when navigating the menus.

I’ve found a bug in the game - how do I report it?

Bugs can be reported by sending an email to bugs@armadillorun.com.

Where can I get more levels?

New levels can be downloaded from the level download page. You’ll need the full version of Armadillo Run to play new levels (you can’t play them with the demo).

There are two types of levels: normal and spectator. Normal levels are like those that come with the game - you have to build something to get Armadillo to the portal. Spectator levels don’t require you to do anything - just sit back and watch (some of these are quite ingenious).

Can I put levels I’ve created on your web site?

Yes, to upload your levels go to the level upload page. Most levels will be approved and put on the site within a few days, but I don’t guarantee that all will be (for instance if a level is too similar to another).

Level design tips

You can submit either single levels, or a level set. A level set is a sequence of levels (where they must be completed in order) and can include extra levels, which are initially hidden, but get unlocked by achieving a high score (which gives an extra challenge).

See the manual for more information on creating levels.

Spectator levels

Instead of making levels which require you to build something to get Armadillo to the portal, some people like to make levels which don’t require any input but are interesting to just watch.

I’m having trouble on one of the levels - can you give me a hint?

You can get hints on how to complete the normal levels by going to the hints page. Use it sparingly otherwise it might spoil the fun!

Can I see some solutions to the levels?

Yes, just go to the solutions page to see how other people have completed levels. You’ll need the full version of Armadillo Run to view or edit these (you can’t use them with the demo).

Can I put my brilliant/crazy solution on your web site?

Yes, to upload your solutions go to the solution upload page. The solutions for each level are ranked by score (money remaining) and the cheapest gets displayed on the main page
